Well, I changed my mind - for now, I'm going to post the 100 things about me as a post. After this first time, it really will be posted on the sidebar. I just need to figure out how to do that first! I tried several things last night and wasn't able to figure it out.
Today I've been knitting socks but nothing new to share until tomorrow.
100 things about me, in progress 1. I have 3 cats, yet I still speak to almost every cat I see anywhere. 2. I am reluctant to read instructions for anything, I am always convinced I can figure it out on my own. 3. I was born and raised in Texas. 4. Yet I cannot stand hot weather or being warm. 5. I taught myself to knit in January of 2003 but have already tried almost everything at least on a small scale. 6. I like to prove to myself that I'm capable of doing things even if I think I have no desire to use it later - example, trying out intarsia and fair isle and I plan on taking plane trigonometry. 7. Except for a few of my teenage years, I've always been a little chubby yet when I make an attempt to watch what I eat I lose weight quickly and easily. 8. I don't like to drink water when the weather is cooler but I cannot get enough of it in warm weather. 9. I have been in the same city in Oregon for 4 1/2 years. This is the longest I've lived in one city since I was 22 (I'm 29 now) and I've actually been ready to leave here for a year or so. 10. I have 3 body piercings - my tongue, my nose and a beauty mark. 11. I have 8 tattoos but few are obvious, except on my ankles and I don't believe any of them are gaudy. I've been very careful to place them in an effort not to look bad (to me). 12. It was my goal to have a tattoo for every year since I turned 18 until I was ready to stop. I'm not ready to stop even though I'm a few years behind, but it's getting harder to figure out what I want. 13. Every tattoo I have has meaning for me. 14. I've had white hairs since I was 21 (not gray, they went straight to white), this comes from my mom's side. 15. I am divorced, I got married at 18 and it lasted 5 1/2 years - I'm not sure what I was thinking. 16. I played the violin for 5 years. I still have one though I rarely pick it up now, but I still remember what to do. 17. I love music. I listen to almost anything but I favor country music. I don't like anything like soul music or things like Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson (not sure what category that even is). 18. But I secretly (well, until now) love the Newlyweds and Jessica Simpson, just not her music. 19. I've used computers since I was about 7 years old - while that isn't so odd for today's kids, I find that even in my age group that its rare. It's because my uncle was on top of the coming technology. 20. I generally have impeccable spelling skills and an ability to run numbers through my head quickly. I think the numbers thing is due to a game one of my elementary school teachers played - she would call numbers out loud and change from adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing through a long string of changes. Whoever had the answer first called it out and got some type of prize. I was usually first. 21. I am an only child. As I get older, this occasionally makes me sad because I only have my mom (as far as immediate family). 22. I lost my dad when I was 17. 23. When I work, I'm an Administrative Assistant. My last job doing this was at a casino. 24. I love office supplies and filling out forms - this probably makes me a little weird.
25. I am extremely sensitive about things (so yeah, I take things too personally sometimes). As a result, I usually try to keep a fair distance of people but sometimes I forget (I hate that).
26. I am an awful housekeeper. I just really don't consider it a big priority. I do, however, obsess over certain things being organized ... like CD's and books. I really try with knitting stuff but before long it's all spread out everywhere again.
27. I am named after the Bionic Woman and almost all the names my mom considered also had to do with celebrities.
28. When I was 16 I shaved my head entirely bald.
29. I am an Aries.
30. My middle name is Lynn.
31. I have read The Bell Jar at least 12 times and will read it again, I'm sure.
32. I have several books that are about people's personal experiences with depression/addiction that I read over and over.
33. I had never flown until I was 25. I've done so only a few times but am becoming increasingly anxious about needing to fly anywhere.
34. I cannot get enough purses/bags.
35. I have a bad habit of salting most food without tasting it first.
36. I did not have pets until I was an adult because my mom was afraid of animals.
37. My favorite movies are "Urban Cowboy," "Smokey and the Bandit," "Gross Pointe Blank" (really almost anything with John Cusack) and "You've Got Mail."
38. I watch "Absolutely Fabulous" over and over.
39. I like salty/sour foods like pickles and olives more than sweets.
40. I could eat mashed potatoes everyday.
41. I don't like rice or yogurt very much but I try to eat them since they are good for me.
42. I love vegetables.
43. I am obsessed with fresh blueberries (just discovered I even liked them this year).
44. Iced tea is my favorite beverage but club soda with lemon or lime comes close.
45. I am 5'2".
46. I love to wear jeans but have a hard time finding the perfect fit since I'm so short.
47. I love playing games like Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune. I rarely get to play Scrabble for lack of someone wanting to play with me, so I’ve compensated with WOF - it’s close enough for me.
48. Although I’m not particularly fit or athletic, I’ve always wanted to play soccer, lacrosse and learn the skill of fencing.
49. I want to learn tatting someday and to make jewelry.
50. I want to have 3 children, I fear this might be a problem.
51. I’m very emotional, often to the point of crying at things on TV (not just movies).
52. If I know you well, I’m a chatterbox - otherwise I’m very quiet. I’ve been told rather than shyness, this is often interpreted as aloofness.
I like filling out forms too. Guess we are both weirdos.

I love you 100 things about yourself. What brought me to your site was that your name was Jaime, which is the same name as my daughter and the same spelling. She is also 29 and has quite a few of the same likes and dislikes that you have.
I found you on the SAM5 group, take care Sheila
